Crystallum Mabalel Pinot Noir

Mabalel Vineyard draws its name from Eugene Marais’ poem, narrating the tale of Mabalel, a local chieftain’s daughter ambushed by the crocodile Lalele at the Limpopo river. Situated on ‘Kaaimansgat’ farm, meaning ‘Crocodile’s Lair,’ the vineyard is graced by a nearby river. Nestled at 700m, it’s surrounded by dramatic mountains, their peaks often capped with snow in winter.
