The single block vineyard situated in Kalmoesfontein was planted in 1952 on decomposed granite soils.

It might be the oldest Grenache vineyard in South Africa. The bunches are destemmed and fermented in a conical concrete tank.

One fermentation is almost complete, the wine is transferred over to 500L vats for 12 months. The wine is racked then bottled unfiltered.

Only 3738 bottles were made.
