Batch 12 of Kilkerran’s Heavily Peated series captures Campbeltown’s bold coastal character in its purest form. Crafted at the historic Glengyle Distillery, this limited-edition cask strength release is matured in 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry casks, balancing smoke, sweetness, and sea-salted depth.
At 45 ppm, it’s powerfully peated yet surprisingly refined. Expect notes of butterscotch, toffee, and gentle herbal smoke on the nose, leading to smoked barley, caramelised fruit, and dark chocolate on the palate. The long finish lingers with honeycomb, lemon zest, and soft campfire smoke.
Non-chillfiltered and naturally coloured, this release reflects Kilkerran’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship and Campbeltown’s smoky spirit.
